Game Information:
1000 years ago, the War of the Magi raged across the land and sent the world into a sort of Dark Age, and magic completely disappeared from existence. Since that time, technology has made significant advances, including the invention of steam-powered engines and gunpowder. On the southern continent, the all-powerful Empire stirs, and rumors of the rebirth of magic circulate in hushed circles. Far to the north, in the neutral city of Narshe, something has been found buried beneath the ice and rock: an Esper, a living creature containing that which has been sought for a millennium--the source of magic. The Empire, eager to acquire this long lost power, turns it eye to Narshe.
